In the last hours, the fans found a nasty surprise: need to be connected to Internet to play the game. It was rumored that it could be a DRM but Konami has said that it is a bug.

"We are aware of the problem with off-line game Metal Gear Rising on Steam, and we're working on it", comment through his official Twitter. "Please follow us closely to new information."

UPDATE: "The official patch to address the Always-Online bug for Metal Gear Rising on Steam has been applied and auto-download enabled. The game should now automatically install the patch, though you may have to restart Steam to trigger it. We apologize for the inconvenience."

En las últimas horas, los fans han encontrado una sorpresa desagradable: para poder jugar al juego se necesita estar conectado a Internet. Se rumoreaba que podía tratarse de un DRM pero Konami ha dicho que es un bug.

"Estamos al tanto del problema con el juego off-line de Metal Gear Rising en Steam, y estamos trabajando en él", comentan a través de su Twitter oficial. "Por favor, seguidnos con atención para nuevas informaciones."

ACTUALIZACIÓN: "El parche oficial para arreglar el error siempre-Online para Metal Gear Rising en Steam se ha aplicado y se ha activado para descarga automática. El juego debe instalar ahora automáticamente el parche, aunque es posible que tenga que reiniciar Steam para activarla. Pedimos disculpas por las molestias."
